Beau Institute founder, Rose Marie Beauchemin Verzella, is an internationally acclaimed expert in the field of permanent cosmetics, microblading, areola tattooing, and permanent camouflage with more than 22 years of experience as an industry leading practitioner, trainer, and speaker.
As a practitioner, Rose Marie’s artistry is unparalleled. Her extensive training and experience includes facial morphology, paramedical cosmetics, color theory and analysis. She is known among colleagues as ‘The Brow Doctor’ for her ability to create natural-looking, beautiful hair-simulated eyebrows personally designed for her clients’ unique faces.
As an instructor, Rose Marie displays her passion for excellence in her extraordinary teaching abilities that pave the way for her trainees to become excellent practitioners. Her patience and thoroughness allows her to educate trainees in the physical skills while instilling the confidence they need to launch their own successful permanent makeup careers. Rose Marie’s students hail from around the world including the United States and countries such as Australia, South Africa, Amsterdam, Egypt, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Latvia.
These students include medical professionals from prestigious medical institutions such as Sloan Kettering, University of Pennsylvania, City of Hope, Long Island Plastic Surgery, and many more. Rose Marie was referenced to as an expert in the medical text, Micropigmentation: State of the Art by Dr. Norman Goldstein, chief of Dermatology, University of Hawaii and Dr. Charles Zwerling, Ophthalmic Surgeon, North Carolina. Rose Marie co-authored the medical text called Micropigmentation Millennium, also with Dr. Charles Zwerling, Dr. Norman Goldstein and Dr. Linda Dixon.
Rose Marie is a frequent contributing writer for industry publications. Her writing has appeared in Les Nouvelle Esthetique, the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists newsletter, and Plastic Surgery Practice.
As an industry expert, Rose Marie played an integral role in developing New Jersey State Regulations for the safe practice and training of permanent makeup. On behalf of the NJ Board of Health and Safety, she visited several counties throughout the state to educate and inform county inspectors about permanent makeup standards.
Rose Marie is a highly sought-after public speaker and news media figure. She recently appeared on a Fox News Special Report by Joyce Evans, titled “Makeup that gives independence and self-esteem.” Rose Marie, and the Beau Institute were named South Jersey’s Best of the Best issue from 2012-2015, and Rose Marie was a recipient of the ‘Super Woman’ Award in South Jersey Magazine.
With over 25 years of experience teaching and working in cosmetology, Joan brings an unparalleled knowledge of color theory and facial structure to her work as a permanent cosmetic practitioner. For 10 years she owned a salon, where she specialized in hair and makeup. Now Joan has successfully taken her talents to the world of permanent cosmetics.
She is a highly skilled permanent makeup & microblading artist at the Beau Institute, whose keen eye and attention to detail always come through in her permanent cosmetics. Her clients are continually impressed with her professionalism and the great rapport she builds with them. Joan loves seeing how happy her clients are after a procedure and the confidence it brings to each of them.
Joan is a certified Micropigmentation instructor through the American Academy of Micropigmentation, an active member of the American Academy of Micropigmentation and a certified professional by the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. She has also received advanced training in Areola Tattooing, Microblading Fusion, and Phi Brow Microblading. She is also a Microneedling specialist and has achieved wonderful results with this technique that improves skin texture and the appearance of fine lines as a result of aging and sun damage.
Joan is also an educator at the Beau Institute for both our fundamental and advanced training classes. In addition, she is an instructor for and our apprenticeship program, which provides experience and confidence needed for our graduates to launch their new careers in permanent makeup.
When she’s not making her clients look more beautiful, Joan loves biking, running, hiking and spending time with her family and friends.
Cindy is an experienced permanent make up and microblading artist and cosmetologist with more than thirty years of experience in the beauty industry. She is also a certified (CMI) instructor by the American Academy of Micropigmentation and a certified professional by the (SPCP) Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals.
Cindy’s passion for permanent cosmetics stems from her commitment to helping her clients gain more confidence and feel great about themselves. She understands the value of quality customer service and takes great pride in building relationships with her clients, which allows her to excel in the field.
Cindy has continued her education through Areola & Scar Camouflage, Color Theory classes, online courses and has trained with Phi Brows. In addition, she is co owner of Vertical Fitness NJ fitness center for Women.
Maria comes to us with a wealth of experience in the aesthetic and cosmetic fields. She has over 12 years of permanent makeup experience as well as paramedical training in areola tattooing and camouflage and scalp micropigmentation. In addition to being a certified instructor by the American Academy of Micropigmentation and a certified professional by the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, Maria is also a licensed makeup artist and cosmetologist.
Maria creates beautiful natural hair stroke brows to compliment every face structure, eyeliner that will make your eyes pop and sparkle, and lip liner and shading that will enhance and make your lips appear fuller. She also performs and teaches 3D & 4D areola tattooing and volunteers her service on our Beau Day of Hope— which, as a breast cancer survivor herself, is something that is deeply heartfelt to her.
Along with her work as a practitioner, Maria is an instructor for our monthly permanent makeup training classes and advanced classes. She is also our scalp micropigmentation expert. She performs these confidence building procedures and is the instructor for our scalp micropigmentation class. Maria’s skill and patience has given our trainees great confidence. She is a true believer in continuing education and has trained in Microblading with Phi Brows, Scalp Micropigmentation with Micro Scalp Usa and Moshe Abul of NPM International to name a few.
She loves to travel with her daughter and to create healthy recipes together.
Glenda Vega has over 16 years of experience in the beauty industry as a licensed cosmetologist. A graduate of the Beau Institute and board-certified permanent makeup artist, Glenda is also a microblading specialist and Phi Brow certified expert.
Her experience in the beauty industry and love for making people feel good about themselves is what led to her passion for brows and the permanent makeup industry. She realized that permanent makeup was the ideal solution for women who were unhappy with their brows and wanted to feel more self-confident.
She takes great pride in her work and making her clients happy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. We are so excited to welcome Glenda to the Beau team!
Amanda is a 2 year AAM Board Certified permanent make up artist who took all of her trainings at the Beau Institute. Starting with the primary class then advanced Microblading and Areola and Scar Camouflage.For as long as she can remember, Amanda has had a love for anything with regards to the beauty industry. Before embarking on her PMU journey, Amanda worked in the ophthalmology field for nearly 15 years, servicing patients in multiple ways. From scheduling surgeries, to fitting and dispensing eyeglasses, taking care of patients / clients, has always given Amanda a great sense of purpose.With permanent make up, she has been able to combine her professional experience and passions into a fulfilling career helping others. On her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and her dogs
With a background rooted in music and fashion design, Lisa Russo’s path as a certified permanent makeup artist was born from a love of beauty aesthetics and individuality. Lisa is passionate about bringing inner attractiveness to the surface and specializes in microblading and lip blush. By balancing color and shaping knowledge with precise attention to detail, Lisa is able to provide her clients with a look that is timeless, natural and uniquely catered to them.
After studying under Donna Cha at The International School of Permanent Make Up, Lisa gained certification for Permanent Makeup and Microblading, and has continued her education through classes in color theory and retention; aiming to one day contribute areola tattooing on those undergoing reconstructive breast augmentation.
